Welcome to our December Demo Day — the final Demo Day of the year! This session focused on meaningful usability enhancements across Rover ERP’s web experience and .NET client, with a strong emphasis on production visibility, scheduling control, accounting workflows, and everyday efficiency.
Whether you’re managing work orders, building quotes, or navigating the Net Client daily, these updates are designed to reduce friction, improve clarity, and give teams more control over how they work.
Here’s what’s new:
Production & Scheduling: More Visibility, More Control (Web)
We introduced several updates that make production scheduling more flexible and easier to manage directly in the web interface.
Configurable Work Order Detail Tabs
A new Web tab in Work Order Control allows administrators to define which lookup-based tabs appear on work order detail screens. This makes it easy to surface relevant information—such as shop transactions or check issues—without custom development.
Flexible Scheduling Group Views
Scheduling groups can now use different lookups for the Production Board and Unscheduled Orders views. This allows teams to tailor views by department, product line, or workflow.
User-Based Scheduling Group Access
Scheduling groups can now be restricted by user. If users are assigned, only those users will see the group; if not, it remains visible to everyone—maintaining backward compatibility while adding control.
Persistent Date Navigation
Customizable Work Order Overlays
Production Board Exporting
A new export feature allows users to:
- Select specific days to export from the Production Board
- Choose which columns to include
- Preserve color highlighting when printing
- Export data to CSV for analysis or sharing
This makes it easier to review production data offline or distribute reports across teams.
Point of Sale: Smarter Cart Custom Fields (Coming Soon)
Custom fields displayed in the POS cart are now fully configurable through MRK Control:
-
Any SO line-item field can be displayed (not limited to custom fields)
-
Fields no longer need special FDICT ranges
-
Host-side validation can now trigger immediately when a field changes
Accounting Module: Faster Search, Better Navigation (In Progress)
Custom fields displayed in the POS cart are now fully configurable through MRK Control:
-
A new search box for AR and AP allows users to quickly locate invoices by ID or customer name
-
Recently viewed lists make it easy to reopen items
-
Improved behavior when switching between AR and AP views
-
Search results persist when navigating back to dashboards—no more losing your place
.NET Client: Quality-of-Life Improvements (Pre-Release)
We previewed several Net Client enhancements focused on everyday usability:
-
Paste lists of values directly into grid fields with full validation
-
Automatic removal of system delimiters during paste operations
-
Improved text selection behavior when clicking into fields
-
Ability to paste within existing text instead of overwriting
-
Undo (Ctrl+Z) support for pasted values
Host-Side Enhancements
Additional backend improvements include:
-
Required fields no longer lock users in endless UI loops
-
Required field validation is still enforced on save
-
Partial work order completion reversals are now supported in Production
Why It Matters
These updates may be subtle—but they have a big impact. From clearer production views to faster data entry and more forgiving workflows, the December enhancements focus on making Rover ERP easier to use, more flexible, and better aligned with how teams actually work.
Thank you for joining us for our final Demo Day of the year. We look forward to continuing to deliver improvements that help your teams work smarter, with less friction, and greater confidence—into the new year and beyond.
