Welcome to our October Demo Day Recap! This month, we focused on user experience, data visibility, and system stability. Whether you’re managing production schedules or using Rover’s Net Client every day, these improvements are designed to help your team move faster, work smarter, and experience fewer interruptions.
Here’s what’s new:
Production Board: Smarter Visual Cues for Faster Decisions
We’ve supercharged the production board with dynamic highlighting tools that surface what matters—instantly.
-
Shift-Based Text Colors – AM, PM, or multi-shift line items now display in unique colors, making it easy to visually scan your production board.
-
Status-Based Highlighting – Use WO control settings to automatically flag exceptions or important statuses in orange, green, or custom colors.
-
System-Wide Lookup Enhancements – These color-coded highlights aren’t limited to production—they can now be applied to any lookup data table, from point-of-sale to order entry.
Net Client: More Stable, More Transparent
Your frontline users depend on Rover’s Net Client every day. This release tackles long-standing pain points and boosts overall reliability.
- Resource Usage Warnings – Get proactive alerts when too many forms or tabs are open—helping prevent client crashes before they happen.
- Auto Exception Submission – Errors are now automatically logged and (optionally) submitted to Rover Support, so issues get resolved faster without user intervention.
- Smarter Command Feedback – Mistyped commands now trigger clear error messages—no more silent failures or frozen screens.
- UI Overlays on Tab Activation – When loading a form or switching tabs, users now see a subtle loading indicator—so they know the system is working, not stuck.
Lookup Tables: Better Sorting, Cleaner Data
You asked—we delivered.
-
Correct Numeric & Date Sorting – Lookup tables now sort numbers and dates properly (instead of alphabetically), making data views more logical and useful.
Data Entry Fixes: Accuracy Without the Guesswork
Keyboard-driven users rejoice.
- Arrow Key & Scroll Navigation Fixes – Users can now move through control association screens using arrow keys or scroll wheels without losing data—ensuring all changes are saved correctly.
Why it Matters
These enhancements might not be flashy—but they’re game-changers. From smoother UI transitions to smarter error handling and richer visual cues, your team now has a more stable, intuitive system to work in every day.
Thank you for being part of our September Demo Day! We’ll be back next month with more enhancements and insights.
