Welcome to our September Demo Day Recap! This month, we delivered updates focused on operational clarity and user experience, especially for warehouse teams and customer-facing staff. From flexible work center management to new tools for ticketing and security, these changes continue to show how Rover ERP and Rover Business Suite are evolving to meet the real-world needs of manufacturers and the PICK/MultiValue community.
Rover Scan Enhancements
We’ve added several new features to our web-based scan module—designed to give warehouse and production teams the control they need in real-time.
-
Lot Check Lookup: Scan or enter a Lot ID and instantly retrieve base information and transaction history—right from the shop floor.
-
Alternate Work Centers: Quickly reassign work order operations to alternate work centers defined in your routing. Ideal for handling downtime or capacity shifts without needing to log into the desktop app.
-
New Form Builder (Formstep E): Define simple data entry forms in the desktop client and deploy them on the web. Useful for tasks like moving pallets or updating tote locations with just a few clicks.
Session Timeout Controls
Security just got simpler.
- Timeout Settings in Security E: Define user session timeouts in minutes—helpful for shared workstations or environments with strict security policies.
- Automatic Logout: Idle users are now automatically logged out, reducing the risk of unauthorized access and ensuring a clean refresh of the web app.
Customer Portal: Ticket Creation
A more intuitive support experience is on the way.
-
Create Support Tickets: Customers can now create tickets directly within the portal using pre-filled help text templates.
-
Attachments (Coming Soon): Upload files when submitting or responding to tickets—an essential feature for customers used to attaching files to emails.
-
Streamlined Interface: Ticket fields are simplified to avoid complexity—no influence over backend settings like billing types or part numbers.
Customer Portal: Related Parts Enhancements
Help your customers make informed buying decisions without the back-and-forth.
- Required Related Parts: Show related items that must be selected before the main item can be added to the cart.
- Default Quantities & Required Flags: Clearly communicate which parts are mandatory and pre-fill default purchase quantities.
