Welcome to our July Demo Day! This month, we unveiled key improvements designed to give you more control, flexibility, and speed—both in the warehouse and across your back-office workflows. From smarter Point of Sale interactions to the brand-new Forms def E tool, these updates are all about helping you get more done with less friction. Here’s what you need to know:
POS Cart Management Just Got Smarter
We’ve added powerful new capabilities to the Point of Sale module:
-
Edit Quantities from Search & Product Detail: No need to jump into the cart to make quantity adjustments—do it right from where you found the item.
-
Handle Duplicate Items with Different Prices: The system now supports multiple instances of the same part in a cart, with visual cues and warnings to prevent confusion.
-
MRK-Controlled Behavior: All new features are toggle-based, so you can activate them only when you’re ready.
These changes simplify quoting, reduce errors, and give sales reps more agility during transactions.
Dynamic Form Creation with Forms def E
Say hello to Forms def E—a game-changing tool for creating custom web forms without writing code.
-
Rapid Form Configuration: Build dynamic forms for the Rover Scan module directly in the desktop environment.
-
Custom Labels, Defaults & Validations: Show or hide fields, set defaults, and validate data—all in one place.
-
Use Cases Galore: From moving pallets to updating customer data, these forms make process automation fast and flexible.
-
Collapsible Sections: Organize your fields into collapsible groups for a cleaner UI.
Forms def E gives you the ability to deploy new web functionality in days, not weeks.
Part Options & Cart Updates
-
Default Collapse for Option Groups: Related part groups on quotes can now default to collapsed, reducing visual clutter.
-
Drag-and-Drop Reordering: You can now reorder related part groups directly within the part detail display using a simple drag-and-drop action.
-
Cart Quantity Updates: From within the part details, you can now edit quantities of items already in the cart, giving you more flexibility during quote-building.
Base Component Upgrades: Lookups & Grids
We’re continuing our work on shared UI elements across Rover:
-
Enhanced Lookups: New lookup icons let you filter and search by name—perfect for handling multiple customer or product records.
-
No-Code Lookup Management: Driven by definitions in FDIC E, these lookups are customizable and extensible.
-
Editable Grids: Edit, reorder, and filter line items directly within grids—plus keyboard shortcuts for even faster edits.
These updates support upcoming accounting enhancements and improve usability across modules.
Upcoming Accounting Features (Preview)
We’re actively developing updates for AP and AR that will bring modern web functionality to core accounting tasks. While not quite ready to demo, foundational elements—like enhanced grids and field lookups—are already live and getting tested.
Stay tuned for a full walkthrough in next month’s demo.
